A modern, kid-friendly refresh of Zoo Knoxville's signature Halloween event.

The brief. Zoo Knoxville's long-running Halloween event needed a brand refresh that felt current and fun for families, and that could stretch across everything from banners to merchandise.

The approach. I built a new monster-mouthed wordmark with big, friendly letterforms and a playful toothy grin, then expanded the palette beyond classic orange and purple with brighter accents for more range. A library of custom textures and patterns, including the radiating sunburst, gives the system an instantly recognizable backdrop for print, digital, signage, and products.

The outcome. The new identity now runs through the whole event: fence wraps and pumpkin arches at the entrance, pole banners, branded tents and booths, concession menus, giant pumpkin sculptures, merchandise, the event's web presence, and even pre-show ads on the big screen at the movies.
